FunkyTown x Revolution Brewing

I had the privilege of collaborating with two remarkable breweries in Chicago, Funkytown Brewery and Revolution Brewing. Funkytown Brewery, an emerging powerhouse in the Chicago beer scene, is making waves among the new generation of beer enthusiasts, particularly within the black community. Meanwhile, Revolution Brewing, the preeminent brewery in Illinois, is renowned for its exceptional beer production and unwavering commitment to crafting extraordinary brews.

These esteemed breweries approached me to provide artistic direction and design expertise for their inaugural beer release of the year, "Cold Sweat," a beer inspired by the iconic funk anthem of the same name by James Brown. Drawing inspiration from James Brown's legendary funk essence and infusing it with the youthful, modern, and vibrant spirit of Funkytown, I aimed to create a can design that would leap off the shelves.

The result is a visually enticing can that promises a great time even before you crack it open, essentially transforming into a piece of art on your shelf once it's part of your collection.
